Eligibility Criteria, By Programme

Who Can Apply

Eligibility differs by programme and, for most programmes, by candidature type. Select a candidature below to view its specific criteria.

(A)

First Year B. Pharmacy

4-year undergraduate programme · MHT-CET / NEET

i.The candidate should be a citizen of India.
j.Passed HSC (10+2) or its equivalent examination with English as one of the subjects and Physics, Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of Mathematics or Biology.
k.The candidate should have appeared in all subjects in MHT-CET 2025 and obtained a non-zero score in MHT-CET 2025 conducted by the Competent Authority.
(B)

First Year Pharm D

6-year Doctor of Pharmacy programme · MHT-CET / NEET

i.The candidate should be a citizen of India.
j.Passed HSC (10+2) or its equivalent examination with English as one of the subjects and Physics, Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of Mathematics or Biology — OR has passed a Diploma in Pharmacy (D. Pharmacy) from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India under Section 12 of the Pharmacy Act.
k.The candidate should have appeared in all subjects and obtained a non-zero score in MHT-CET 2025.
(C)

Direct Second Year B. Pharmacy

Lateral entry for Diploma in Pharmacy holders

i.The candidate should be a citizen of India.
j.The candidate should have passed a Diploma Course in Pharmacy from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India under Section 12 of the Pharmacy Act, 1948.
k.Any other eligibility criteria and requirement declared from time to time by the appropriate authority as defined under the Act.
(D)

First Year M. Pharmacy

2-year postgraduate programme · GPAT

i.The candidate should be a citizen of India.
j.Passed Bachelor's in Pharmacy Degree examination of an Indian University established by law, from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India, with not less than 55% marks in aggregate of 4 years of B. Pharm (at least 50% marks for Reserved category, Economically Weaker Section, and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only).
k.Obtained a non-zero positive score in the Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) conducted by the National Testing Agency.
l.For sponsored candidates: a minimum of two years' full-time work experience in a registered firm / company / industry / educational and/or research institute / Government Department or Government Autonomous Organization in the relevant field is required.

Ph.D admissions follow the Ph.D Ordinance of the affiliating University (NET / SET / GATE / GPAT or the University's own Ph.D Entrance Test, plus a research proposal and interview). For full details, see the Ph.D programme page.
